Crazy Weather

I feel like I'm in a Bill Murray movie, "well it's Groundhog Day... again.." except replace Groundhog Day with snowing! Yes, once again it's snowing! Luckily, I like snow, but damn-it they actually expect me to go to work! And my boss gets pissed when I tell her I am coming in late. No job is worth my life, no way. Today was probably worse than others cause she lives more south than me and the snow is less there. We are getting over 3 inches and the highway web cams are showing that the roads could use some more plowing. Arggg, I hate the attitude I hear in her voice.

On a better note Rudicus, TLR, Ack, Spriggy, and I got together on Saturday and played D&D. Yes, you heard it right, Dungeons & Dragons! For those that care, we played with the latest d20 V.3.5 rules system with some modified house rules concerning initiative and one particular armor item (thanxx Morgan!). For those who don't have a clue, D&D is a role playing game. It's like being in a play except there is no script and you don't really act things out (well, most people don't but a little bit is ok). The director describes the setting and the situation, and you decide what you want to do and how you want to handle things. Then the director tells you the reactions of your actions. This is that game that certain religious people portray as evil and satanic. Not that these people ever played the game, mind you. All they ever did was hear that there were demons and devils involved and they got freaked. Idiots, the demons and devils are the ultimate bad guys/monsters that the good guys are suppose to kill and triumph over. Arggg again!

Beyond the actual game playing, it was really just nice to be able to hang-out again with y old college buddies. Definitely brings back memories and I definitely miss it. Can't wait to play again!
